Birthday Celebrations

Anne's Birthday was so much fun! Kellan had to work and go to school all day, so we got up bright and early to open presents and have a special birthday breakfast before he had to leave for the day. We saved the cake for a birthday party at Gramma Mai's the next weekend. Anne requested a caterpillar birthday cake, so that became a theme as you can see.

Anne specifically requested pancakes with peaches, raspberries, and whip cream for breakfast. They were delicious!


Later, the next weekend my family came up to Salt Lake to go to the Scarlet Pimpernel at Hale Center Theater (which was incredible!). Afterwards, Mai was so kind to invite everyone over for a birthday party for Anne. It was so much fun to have all of our families all together for her! The kiddos had a blast! Gramma Mai knows how to do a party right with fairy wings and skirts for all the girls and a fireman hat for Jackson.

Anne is 5 yrs. old today! Where did the time go? We feel so lucky to have been blessed with such a fun, quirky little girl!

WOW! Who gave those babies a baby?

YAY! Only 99 days left! No more triple digets on the baby ticker! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going! The girls are so excited to have a baby brother. Even Sara who had a melt down everytime we mentioned it being a boy is excited since I figured out that she thought we were trading Libby for a baby brother. Now that we've explained things and she can see my belly getting bigger, she understands that we're adding a brother.
We have had so much fun this summer! I can't believe its almost over! Kellan finished his last summer class at the end of June. Its been so nice to have him home so much more since he's only had work the last few weeks. We are dreading the start of school when we won't get to have him around as much. The last few weeks we have had tons of fun playing in the back yard, camping, trips to the logan zoo, the Oquirrh Temple open house, etc. Sorry there are so many pictures! Maybe I'm just really vain, but its too hard to pick just a couple!

One of a few trips to the Logan Zoo. It's mostly birds and ducks, but there is a tortise and an albino porcupine and some monkeys that the girls absolutely love!

Finally, last week we went camping with my parents and brothers and sisters to Bloomington Lake, which is about half and hour north of Bear Lake. It was one of the most gorgeous places I have ever seen!
Something funny Anne said our second day of camping, I was trying to convince her to let me do her hair up so she could go swimming that day. When I told her she had two choices; get your hair done and go swimming, or don't and stay at camp. When I asked what she wanted a few minutes later she said. "Better Choices!"
We camped right next to the trail the took us up to the lake. The girls loved hiking the mile or so to the lake everyday and swimming, and throwing rocks in. They also loved roasting marshmallows and hot dogs and throwing things into the fire for hours on end. They were so sad to go home.
