Our Christmas was one of the best ever!
The week before Anne did an awesome FHE were she had us all act out the Nativity. She took care of costumes, assigning roles, and designing the sets. We all dressed up, sat in the middle of the floor, and read each section of the nativity then we would act it out. It was pretty sweet watching them act it out impromptu. Definitely one of my favorite Christmas moments.
We had our annual visit from the Big Man!
Truman had no fear once he realized candy was involved
The girls also chatted it up with him. Libby hid behind the couch and only came out to quickly grab a candy cane. Anne asked for a pink note book and colored pencils and Sara asked for a snow globe and crayons. I love that they asked for such simple things. Santa had it pretty easy this year!
Christmas Eve we had the Stevens party at our house. It was so much fun to have every one here! We had yummy food and opened presents. I loved Gramma Mai's presents this year. She always comes up with thoughtful creative gifts, but this year she really out did herself! She knitted the stuffed animals all the kids are holding! They were darling and make me really wish I had her talent and persistence!
Christmas Eve jammies! Made and bought by Gramma Evel!
We were there too. I'm trying to take more pictures of us, since I realized that I hardly ever do. So here's one for the posterity... If this how Kellan wants to be remembered then that's fine.
Christmas morning!
Sara's snow globe!
Anne got her notebook and pencils, but Santa also surprised her and Sara with pink Legos. They loved them! I couldn't find a picture with the notebook, but it was a hit too.
When I asked Libby what she wanted she said a pink polka-dotted dress up Minnie. Luckily Santa was able to find her one thanks to Google.
Truman got a Buzz and The Lion King DVD. I think all he did for 3 days was push Buzz's buttons and watch Lion King.
Miles was there too. Watching the whole present opening with his usual nonchalance.
When you're 5 months old and the 5th kid you get clothes. He did get a couple of toys which Truman promptly opened and took over. I don't think Miles minds though.
I think this one looks like me=)
We made the kids save one present to open after church. It was great leverage to get them to clean up. Muhahahaha!
On Monday we had parties with the Bradshaws and Birds, but I didn't think to pull out my camera. I wish I had now. Also we had my family here from Monday night through Thursday, but then I couldn't find the camera. Bummer! We had a great party with them too though. They gave us lots of lovely things that we all loved! My favorite was from my brother Kendall who drew my name and got me the Complete Works of Shakespeare! I can't wait to get started on it!
My parents got Truman this train set. I didn't think anything could rival the Lion King or Buzz, but he loves this train. Still a week later, I'm constantly repairing tracks for him.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We sure did!
